Origin:
Bred by Dr. M.N. Gupta (India, 1975). Bred by R. Shukla (India, 1975).
Introduced in India by National Bot. Research Inst. NBRI in 1983 as 'Angara'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Dark red, orange shading.  15 to 20 petals.  Average diameter 3.5".  Large, semi-double to double, open bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Enrique writes: This is a gamma ray induced, human made sport of 'Montezuma', and you can read the details and very intresting history about its radiation in the 68th edition of "American Rose Annual" printed in 1983-- available in many used books places and Amazon.com.
