Book (1951) Page(s) 13. Harry H. Hazlewood. The New Roses of 1951. Greer Garson (Denozil, 1943). Very large classy high centred begonia pink double blooms born on strong growth with glossy foliage. A very fine sort.
Book (1943) Page(s) 17. R. Marion Hatton. The World's New Roses Greer Garson, by Mme. Denoyel, was named for the actress who played Mrs. Miniver and put up a strong plant which bore a good crop of bloom. The 4 inch heavy flowers of forty deep pink petals were quite uninteresting to me and were not helped by having very poor scent. This may improve, but a prettier Rose might have been selected to bear the lovely Miss Garson's name.
