'Golden Monica ®' rose Reviews & Comments

Died after a few years of struggling in our garden with just very few flowers. It became a major blow/set-back of the -20° C bare frosts a few years ago and never really recovered of that. It always had healthy foliage and the few flowers were beautiful. Alas it's gone and will be replaced by a more resilient rose.

Hey Tim--My Golden Monica was a brand new own root for me this past Spring 2010 and I only got a few blooms from it this first year. They were good sized and a very pretty golden yellow color and had tons of substance and lasted a long time on the bush and in the vase. Usually roses with alot of petal substance have little to no fragrance, but Golden Monica surprised me and actually has pretty moderate fragrance especially when the temp is a bit cooler. When it gets hot, the fragrance tends to disappear, but when it cools back down it magically seems to reappear.
