Website/Catalog (1927) Page(s) 27. New Roses 1927. Autocrat (Per. Beckwith) Prawn red flushed with amber towards edge of petals. As the flower expands, the outside of the petals retain their colour, and the inner colour runs from rich ochre to flesh pink. The raiser does not mention growth, and it is significant that, although offered in England two years ago, the plants were not fit to send out then for our order. They were imported this season, but many plants have died back already in our nursery. It is evident that 'Autocrat' belongs to the faulty section of the pernetiana class, and is in no sense likely to improve rose growing by being disseminated.
Book (1926) Page(s) 181. Autocrat Hybrid Tea (G. Beckwith & Son, 1925)... red, amber, light pink...
