Saw one of these for sale at a Bunnings store in Melbourne tonight and it was a very impressive looking plant. Looked very healthy and like it would be productive and it was a really nice shape. Said on the label that it’s an extremely vigorous and healthy plant and I wouldn’t doubt that based on what I saw.

There appears to be a major discrepancy with the photographs shown between Australia and Europe. Aust members’ images show a rose with creamy tones of red and orange while Europe is showing a rose closely resembling the description of predominately white with red edges. Garden Express web site shows the orange/red blend while Wagner’s matches the description (may depend on the origin of their images). Find it hard to accept climate and soil would explain the differences. Somewhere at the nursery end it would appear there has been a cock up. Any ideas?

It appears that the orange version may be the imposter. I can move the orange photos to a study file called “Joy of life - orange version” until we get more discussion as to what it may be. What do you think?

Fully agree to the proposed move as the Aust ones would appear to be clearly wrong. Never seen the correct rose but intend to try Wagner's version this year. Thanks Patricia.

Is this rose fragrant ? Any comments ...
I have a plant that already was in my garden, which looks like Maxime and has absolutely no fragrance.

I found two references only to "moderate fragrance". However, I think if a rose has a nice perfume, then it is certainly mentioned - so I think it might not have very much at all.
