Origin:
Bred by Christoph Weigand (Germany, 1900).
Introduced in Australia by Henry Sewell, Payneham Nurseries in 1905 as 'Ernst Grandpierre'.
Class:
Hybrid Wichurana, Rambler.  
Bloom:
Cream, ages to white .  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 2".  Medium, double (17-25 petals), cluster-flowered bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Arching, climbing.  Glossy foliage.  

Height: 8' to 10' (245 to 305cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.
