'George Vancouver' rose Reviews & Comments

While the foliage seemed to have more substance to block out powdery than Champlain had, it turns out their bs resistance is relatively the same, yet Champlain has a better red coloration, and the bloom size to plant size proportion is much preferred. Also, it does not have octopus arms covered in daggers. In retrospect, I should have kept my Champlain from a decade ago and never bothered with George Vancouver.

One of the toughest and best performing of the Explorer Rosa kordesii cultivars. The bright red flowers stand out in the landscape. The shrub winter kills somewhat in a Zone 3 climate, but usually flowers well and continuously the following summer.
