Bred by Soupert & Notting (Luxembourg, 1889).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1892 as 'Gloire de l'Exposition de Bruxelles'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Purple, dark red shading, dark red reverse, red undertones.  Strong fragrance.  60 petals.  Large, full (26-40 petals), rosette bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:

Height: 4' (120cm).  Width: 3' (90cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b and warmer.  Prefers full sun.
