Freia. - Another very good yellow. The buds are short, rich, deep yellow, opening to very pretty semi-double decorative flowers. Glossy dark green foliage, showing a tendency to black spot.

Freia. Moderate growth, but very free flowering. It will, 1 think, prove to be one of the best yellow bedding Roses, as the colour is very consistent. It is a real gem among Roses.

New Roses 1938. Freia (Pernt. M. Tantau 1936) F. 3.  A free blooming , semi-double variety with rich yellow blooms darker than Ville de 'Paris'.  It promises to be a more satisfactory variety than 'Golden Gleam' as it is free from the dying back tendency of that variety in this climate.  E.

Freia (Tantau).—A deep golden yellow variety of a colour similar to Golden Emblem, but without the shadings.
The colour holds particularly well. The petals are not quite as large as the latter Rose, but the bush is not vigorous and sappy like Golden Emblem, being more of a short and moderate type of growth, and should be much hardier.

Freia (Pernetiana)... A bushy growing "Ville de Paris" which retains its golden colour till the petals fall. The flower is double, fragrant. Blooms very freely. A very healthy variety, suitable for garden or cutting. Introduced 1937.
