American Rose Magazine 1(24): 14 (Nov-Dec 1936) Sweet Memorie rose, developed by the distinguished rosarian, Forrest L. Hieatt, proved the sensation ol America's Second National Rose Show at San Diego, Calif., October 10, 11, and 12. Sweet Memorie is unusual in fragrance and coloring, its petals being a pomegranate-red outside and a deep spinel-pink within, the whole suffused with gold that ties the golden stamens in a camellia-like center.
