Years ago, I was visiting the Heritage Rose Garden in San Jose and saw small lilac spots on some of the lower leaves where blackspot might be expected. I did not get a picture. Blackspot is not a big problem at that garden, so I'm wondering if these spots were BS infections that were being defeated by flooding them with pigments and co-pigments.

Has anyone else seen such spots?

Today there was a honey-fragrance on my full-blooming Hidcote Gold. I like that.
