‘Karen Julie’. Modern, large-flowered hybrid tea. Orange-red. Repeat Flowering.
This rose, which is excellent for exhibition, has well-shaped blooms that are deep orange and contain 45 petals. There is a salmon-orange reverse to the petals. The flowers keep their form and color well on a medium-sized, bushy, plant with matt and mid-green foliage, and the flowering is quite good for an exhibition-type rose. There are no disease problems. It is a fine rose for picking. Zones 5-10. Allender, Australia 1979. ‘Alexander’ x ‘Vienna Woods’.

This many-petalled Hybrid Tea exhibition rose, bright orange in colour and an early flowerer is very special to us as it was our first “Champion” exhibition rose from our new garden in Houghton.
