Bloom:
Deep pink, lighter center, ages to lighter . Deep pink to light red, cherry red, carmine red, cerise pink. Fine hairlike prickles. up to 25 petals. Average diameter 1.5". Small to medium, semi-double to double, cluster-flowered, in large clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Glossy, dark green foliage.
Height: 2' to 47" (60 to 120cm). Width: 39" to 47" (100 to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders, container rose or garden.

The correct name for this rose seems to be 'Mrs. Alston's Rose'. Refer 1995 reference. It was never officially introduced and there are no references which substantiate the circa 1940 date.
