Book (1941) Page(s) 46. R. Marion Hatton. An American Review of the New Roses Rose Bampton, from Van Rossem, made good growth but black spotted badly, a failing of Van Rossem Roses. Blooms of 35 petals were shy on form, but carried a rich honey-like fragrance and a colour varying from orange-scarlet in June to scarlet-red in autumn. At all times, the colour blued badly quickly.
