Introduced by Unknown (Australia) in before 1949 as 'Golden Melody'.
Introduced in France by Pépinières Minier in 1963.
Introduced in Spain by Horticultura Dot S.P/Rosas Dot in 1963 as 'Irene Churruca'.

Bloom:
Buff, ages to cream .  Strong fragrance.  up to 35 petals.  Large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Pointed buds.  
Habit:

Height: 30" to 3' (75 to 90cm).  Width: 2' (60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:
Irene Churruca y Murga (December 3, 1874 - ?), married April 12, 1899 to José Antonio Arana y Urigüen (vice-president of the Sporting Club of Bilbao), was a wealthy landowner and gardener in Asturias in the 1930s and a patron of the breeder
This cultivar of Fojo (1934) was apparently commercialized by Dot and Minier (again?) in 1963. See identical parentage in the References.
