Bred by Walter Easlea, Jr. (United Kingdom, before 1925).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1925 as 'Empire Queen'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1926 as 'Empire Queen'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Cherry-red, orange highlights, lighter edges.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Hardy.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew.
