'Eulalia' rose Reviews & Comments

Thank you so much Boronkay for your photo. There is a garden in the nearby town of Manjimup, Western Australia where the owner, Mrs. Martin, left a list of the roses planted in 1959 and 1960. Her son now owns and cares for the garden. On that list, and apparently near the site where an old pink rose is planted, was the name 'Eulalia'. I have done an search of the Australian references, and while there are a few, there was not much identifying information to be had. Your rose and my rose look about the same. Have a look at the Helpmefind "David Martin's No. 57" file http://www.helpmefind.com/gardening/l.php?l=2.64870 where there are photos of the Australian foundling.
What would be wonderful would be for Verschuren to contribute any old references and or photos they have of their 1934 bred 'Eulalia'. That way, both you in Hungary, and I in Australia, could be more sure of the identification of our rose. Patricia

Thank you, thank you Jedmar. "Buds expand slowly" is most useful. Does anyone else in the world grow 'Eulalia'?
