Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 1933 as 'Souvenir de J.B. Weibel'.

Bloom:
Carmine-pink.  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped, semi-globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.

Armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, well-branched.  Large, dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Hardy.
