The American Florist 11: 89 (Aug 24, 1895) I may also mention here that there are two climbers of American origin to be introduced next year, Climbing Meteor and Climbing Wootton. If they prove to be hardy and of good vigorous growth and free flowering qualities they will indeed be a valuable addition to our short list of ever-blooming climbing roses.	REPLY

In his "Roses for All American Climates" (1924), George C. Thomas lists "CL. SOUVENIR OF WOOTTON. (Cl.HT.) Butler, 1899. (Sport of Souvenir of Wootton.) Continuous bloomer. Has been found very satisfactory in Washington, D.C., and vicinity; one of the best climbing Hybrid Tea sports." Parentage and Breeder Name can be corrected.	REPLY
