    How is it possible that this rose was released in 1971 while it's parentage is given as:

    Solitaire (McGredy, 1987) X Elina (Dickson, 1984)

    Either the parentage is wrong or the introduction date is incorrect?

    Yes, obviously an error. This is the correct parentage but not for this 'Whisper' rose. This parentage applies to Colin Dickson's hybrid tea also named Whisper.
