Medium red Hybrid Perpetual.
Origin:
Bred by Jean-Pierre Liabaud (France, 1869).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1882 as 'Baron Chaurand'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Scarlet, dark purple center.  Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  Dense foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
