Book (1978) Page(s) 139. By combining his two strains of Moss hybrids, and using 'Fairy Moss' also, he has opened the door to all sorts of modern Moss roses. It is a wonderful example of the rose breeder's art, but like all new developments, the prototypes are not necessarily absolutely right. 'Kara' is a single pink, 'Paintbrush' is buff yellow going white, and 'Dresden Doll' double pink. The moss is certainly there, but not with the Victorian charm we expected. Sad to say, the plants I have seen of these mossy Miniatures have been susceptible to blackspot. But these are teething troubles; and even if they were not overcome, what an example Ralph Moore has set!
