Bred by Louis-Xavier Granger (France, before 1850).
Introduced in France by Pierre Cochet (père) in 1850 as 'Charles Boissière'.
Introduced in Australia by John Baptist in 1861 as 'Charles Boissières'.

Hybrid Bourbon, Hybrid Perpetual.

Bloom:

Red, shading. Average diameter 3.25". Medium to large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Light prickles. Dark green foliage. 5 leaflets.

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
