Introduced in France by Désiré Thomas in 1850 as 'Général de Bréa'.

Bloom:
Deep pink.   (Rouge clair).  Large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).

Notes:
Dedicated to Jean Baptiste Fidèle Bréa (April 24, 1790 Menton - June 25, 1848 Paris), French officer. He was shot by the insurgents in the 1848 uprising.
