'Baby Boomer'( BENminn) Benardella: Garden rating 7.5, Exhibition rating 8.1: 46 bushes,10 reports: Some health problems: No fragrance: Medium height: Shell pink flowers. Auckland says a nice colour and form outstanding, but opens fast. B.O.P. - light pink, good bud - dec then nothing, average repeat, medium shiny green foliage, some blackspot and mildew. Lower Hutt - a good exhibition bloom, and for flower arrangements. Canterbury has not been able to keep the mildew at bay all season. Another from Canterbury - not a very strong grower, nice decorative blooms, non-fading. Waikato - new plant, but looks promising for good decoratives, delicate pink. Upper Hutt, beautiful pale pink of lovely HT form, looks like it's made of china, a real favourite. Good exhibition and decorative form. Manawatu has great hopes for this rose, has yet to prove itself. Medium blooms of lovely H.T form, superb-reflexed, needle pointed but subjected to downy mildew, bushes need more time to settle in. Northland are very fond of this rose, baby pink of very good exhibiting form, repeats quickly and always in flower.
