Of fifteen roses...... six, according to Henry Ellwanger, were hybrid damascena, that is Portlands (‘Souvenir de President Lincoln’, Rosalina’, ‘Il Defense’, ‘Contina’, ‘Charles Cook’, and ‘La Brilliante’)
