Origin:
Bred by Al. Carret (France, 1860).
Introduced in France by Hippolyte Jamain in 1861 as 'Madame Boutin'.
Introduced in Australia by Charles Wyatt, Frogmore Nursery in 1868 as 'Madame Boutin'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Cherry-red.  Strong fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Said to be similar to 'Christina Nilson' - see.
