I'd like to list a line or two in References, but I'm at a disadvantage because I don't yet own L'Encyclopédie. I assume it includes a description of the rose and reference material? Better yet, considering the quality of my French, photos? Thanks.

François Joyaux describes roses in three categories:

- the "Best": with detailed descriptions and photographs

- "Others for collectors": shorter description, some photographs

- Listing for the "rose-crazy": Name, breeder, year of other varieties which exist in collections

My response was from the third list. Usually these are roses from Roseraie de l'Hay, unfortunately without further description. If there is more information, I will add to my comments.
