Bred by Tom Carruth (United States, before 2003).
Introduced in United States by Weeks Wholesale Rose Grower, Inc. in 2006 as 'Wild Blue Yonder'.
Class:
Grandiflora.  
Bloom:
Purple to light purple, red edges, white undertones.  Strong, citrus, rose, spice fragrance.  25 to 38 petals.  Average diameter 3.25".  Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, cupped, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, bushy, upright.  Large, semi-glossy, dark green foliage.  3 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: 4' to 5' (120 to 150cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 9b.  Can be used for garden.  Heat tolerant.  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

It has an undisseminated seedling of my creation as its seed parent with the following genetic origin (`International Herald Tribune`.times.Rosa soulieana derivative).times.(`Sweet Chariot`.times.`Blue Nile`) and has an undisseminated seedling of my creation as its pollen parent with the following genetic origin `Blueberry Hill`.times.`Stephen's Big Purple`.....description is of 3 to 4 year-old rose plants of the new variety grown outdoors in Upland, Calif. in the month of October.
