'Lawrence Johnston' rose Reviews & Comments

On the description page, there's a note quoting Odile Masquelier as saying this rose was introduced in 1923, but other references say that it wasn't introduced to commerce until much later.
I don't see Masquelier's comment in the references, but is it possible she meant 'Le Rêve', the sister seedling to this rose, which Pernet-Ducher did offer for sale in 1923?

In her book "La Bonne Maison", Odile Masquelier states that Major Johnston received 'Hidcote Yellow' exclusively from Pernet Ducher and that it was only later introduced by Graham Thomas as 'Lawrence Johnston'. There are a few references which state the introduction year as 1923, which was that of the sister seedling 'Le Rêve', as you mention. The breeding year of both is earlier as we record. I have removed the note to Odile Masquelier's apparent statement, as it is misleading and corrected in her book.
