Origin:
Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, before 1904).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1923 as 'Le Rêve'.
Introduced in France by Paul Nabonnand in 1923 as 'Le Rêve'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1925 as 'Le Rêve'.
Class:
Climber, Hybrid Foetida/Lutea.  
Bloom:
Golden-yellow, ages to lighter .  None / no fragrance.  Average diameter 4.75".  Very large, semi-double (9-16 petals), in small clusters, flat bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Climbing.  Large, medium green foliage.  

Height: 15' to 20' (455 to 610cm).  Width: 15' (455cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b and warmer.  Hardy.

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Odile Masquelier reports that the breeding date should be before 1918. According to the "Les Amis des Roses" it is before 1903.- see References.
