Dr. A. S. Thomas, Victoria.  Some Of The New Ones.
Lemon Sherbet  HT. (J. J. Kern, 1973). A sport of 'Florence'.  Big, long lasting shapely white blooms with about 35 petals and deep cream centres. Vigorous. Not many thorns. There have been two cultivars named 'Florence' - one is a silvery pink from Paul in 1921! the other is a large white from Dorieux in 1961. 'Sherbert' has come probably from the latter.
