This has been an incredibly frustrating rose to grow. The color and form have been very inconsistent ranging from some of the most beautiful blooms in my garden with great form to balled up faded blooms that never open properly. Sometimes I have both types on the bush at the same time.

Madeleine is an open pollination of Fairhope harvested in Spring of 2003. Plant grows well with not alot of prickles. Foliage is miniflora size but not big. Blooms have about 27-33 petals and can have really good form. Petals are dark gold with an orange edging which turns to red on petal edge. Long (10-14 inch) stems.
