Interesting rose. But mine smelled so much like black pepper that I had to get rid of it.

Blooms constantly, doesn;t mind heat but gets terrible blackspot here. Seems happy enough in a 10 x 10" pot in this climate. I got mine as a band 2 years ago. It's now about 12" tall and a bit wider.

My 'Golden Buddha' came as a band in Spring 2013, and quickly filled-out but remained about 12" tall (as I expected). What I didn't expect was how healthy it would be -- with no fungicides whatsoever, it remained virtually immaculate in my New Jersey garden until it dropped leaves for Winter. This year, same thing -- blackspot simply doesn't seem able to infect this rose, which is rather amazing for this area of the country. Well done, Paul Barden!

I planted Golden Buddha, 4 of them, to eventually form a hedge. I received as 6 inch bands, tiny little plants - WOW! These little guys are blooming monsters! They bloom furiously as a rich golden and then start going to more of an apricot and then pinkish. As of this writing I have had them almost a year, and while they still have not filled out completely to form my hedge, the blooming habits have been terrific. Plants have been very healthy, maybe just a tad of white powdery mildew during our gloomy rainy season. My first by Barden, I'm very pleased.
