Jens Otto Pedersen: My Favourite Danish Rose Gardens.   The Garden at Trappendal.  .....A hobby of ours is to see what self sown roses can bring.  It all started by accident.  A chance seedling in our backyard looked interesting and two years later the rambler 'Trappendalrosen' was named.  We presume it is a cross between 'Lykkefund' and 'Veilchenblau' as these two cover the wall of the house end of the farmhouse.
