Out of curiosity, who is Lupe, after whom it was named?

Others may chime in here.

Mel said it was named after one of the maintenance workers. I can't remember Lupe was paid, or a volunteer.

A great many open pollinated seedlings germinate at SJHRG each season, Mel said, via bird droppings.

This just happened to be one Mel took note of and decided to propagate.
