Origin:
Bred by Wilhelm Kordes III (1953 - 2016) (Germany, before 2000).
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 2001 as 'Caramella'.
Introduced in Canada by Palatine Roses in 2007 as 'Caramella'.
Introduced in United States by Chamblee's Rose Nursery in 2012 as 'Carmella Fairy Tale'.
Class:
Shrub.  
Bloom:
Yellow.  Light amber upper.  None to mild fragrance.  Average diameter 4".  Large, very full (41+ petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters, old-fashioned, quartered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Tall, bushy, spreading.  Large, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.  

Height: up to 47" (up to 120cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for garden, landscape or shrub.  Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
