I'm attempting to grow my Strawberry Hill in a large pot, twisting around an obelisk (kind of like illustrated in one of the David Austin website photos). It is heading into its second summer, and I'm finding that I'm losing some of the shoots because they break off easily due to a weak joint with the main stem. Anyone else experience this? Any advice? I think it's a very beautiful rose but could you tell me if Strawberry Hill is an excellent bloomer too?. And what about for growing it in a big pot?. Thank you very much.
