The response of RU, 04/15/2012:

"vor Jahren gab es eine Verwechslung bei der Einführung der Sorten."
(Years ago there was a mix up with the introduction of varieties)

Badener Sommergruß = Chewsally
Gruß an Baden Baden = Chewrubyramb"

Here should therefore be removed, the synonym "Badener Sommergruß".
I will remove my details here and put my picture on "Chewsally".
So then everything would be okay again?

"none / no fragrance"?
Rosen Union says: Fragance: pleasant, abundant (Duft: angenehm, reichlich)
I think also, this rose smells good.

Are there a 'Gruss an Baden-Baden' and a different clone 'Badener sommergruss' on the market? Several sources state that the former has no fragrance.

I do not know if there are two different roses. Evidently, see RU. There are two different roses listed, 'Badener Sommergruß' and 'Gruß an Baden-Baden': both roses, but with the same registration name "Chewrubyramb". This may not be correct.
Perhaps it is this:
Chewrubyramb = ´Gruß an Baden Baden´ (no fragrance, Warner 2000)
CHEWSALLY = ´Badener Sommergruß´ (fragrant, Warner before 1999).
Warner ask?
I have today written to RU, with a request for clarification.

Yes, we used to have CHEwsally = 'Badener Sommergruss', but corrected this based on the Rosen-Union listing (they should know, as C. Warner's partners). However, the two roses shown on their website are different and our original info could have been correct.

"(they should know, as C. Warner's partner)"
Then I wait for the response of RU? My picture and my comment would be "Chewsally" sorted ...
Easier and safer would be to ask Warner. Officially, about HMF?
