Something is off. The cultivar is older than its parent. Also, I'm not quite sure that June Laver is even the parent, especially since yellow coloring and short stems are its dominant traits.

This situation is unfortunately not terribly uncommon. It has to do with the "year bred" date. Often what is recorded as year bred is really an official, or quasi-official, introduction date. We'll have to add this to our list of items to double check but the incongruity of the dates does not mean the parentage is invalid.

If, as you've done before (thank you!), find a reference to contrary to this parentage please let us know.

I think this parentage is an error. It doesn't follow the Meilland breeding template of using their own roses as parents, and there is no parentage listed in Modern Roses X, XI or 12. Since there's no reference listed to support this parentage, I agree it should be deleted.
