One of the best orange Hybrid teas, so long as one agrees to a lot of red or pink in it. The flowers are rather too thin, but are attractively formed in the bud.  The plants are upright, and bloom freely and evenly. As usual with Swim's roses, the stems are smooth and wiry. The name is to suggest the fiery sunsets in the Mojave desert. Raised from 'Charlotte Armstrong' x 'Signora' by Herbert Swim, and introduced in 1954.
