“Laurie Ulrick named his roses after the towns in a single line from Gympie to Brisbane”. ... perhaps some of his roses, Gympie, Tewantin, Nambour, Traveston, Burwah, and allowing Miss Brisbane. In case readers get the wrong impression, he also bred Ulrick’s Buttercup, Ulrick’s Gem, Ulrick’s Red, Ulrick’s Smokie, Ulrick’s Yellow, Perfection, Pride of Sunnybank (his home), and Ruby Ulrick.
