...an older rose from 1968 by Onodera, the Rosa 'Nozomi', which isn't taller than  a small two meters. Miniature in this case refers to the bloom itself, which is a small rose with four to eight petals in a very light shaded pink.

Nozomi ('Heideroslein') Ground-cover or miniature climber... masses of dainty blush to white flowers on trailing stems cover the plant in summer... 'Nozomi' is a Japanese name meaning 'hope', and commemorates the daughter of Canon Imai of the Canadian Anglican Church. She died in trgic circumstances when only four years old. Her uncle, the breeder, Dr Toru Onodera, named this rose for her. Onodera 1968
