Bred by Rev. Joseph Hardwick Pemberton (United Kingdom, 1923).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1924 as 'Nur Mahál'.

Hybrid Musk, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Crimson.  Strong, musk fragrance.  Average diameter 3.25".  Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters, flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Tall, bushy, few or no prickles/thorns.  Small foliage.  

Height: 5' to 10' (150 to 305cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 10b.  Can be used for beds and borders, garden, pillar or shrub.  Vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.
