I was shocked to see this rose only has a Good rating on here and was reading through the comments and wanted to add my thoughts on this rose. In my zone 7a east coast zone it is exceptionally healthy. Very dark, thick, glossy leaves that don't seem to catch anything here in my no spray garden. I have mine nestled in with some peonies that get very bad mildew by the end of the season and this bush didn't show any signs of either mildew or blackspot, even in fall which is extremely unusual.

It's older blooms are susceptible to botrytis, in part I think because the flowers last so long on the bush (2 - 3 weeks) and also due to their deep petal-packed cupped flowers. If rain happens the water has difficulty escaping and just sits inside the flowers. I wonder if giving it a shake after rain might help with that.

There is a green tint on the outside of the rose on the guard petals that fades moving in first to a nice creamy white color and then a very intense pink in the middle, similar to the pink in Eden - they match really well. Makes a fantastic cut flower, but has no fragrance.

Mine does not ball, even during the rainy month of August. Reliably opens, although it does take an awful long time to fully open (5 days to a week). It does repeat bloom, not super fast though but that might be because I leave the flowers on it for a while. Might repeat faster if you cut the blooms.

I have one in a container growing in Brewster Ma. It has been outside all winter and surprisingly survived. Palatine says it is zoned for 5. But here it is not zoned for 5-6. Which is it? I am moving it and wondered if it will survive this winter in another zone. Might keep it in my garage just to be safe.

You may not have heard, but the USDA just released a new hardiness zone map a few days ago. It looks like many areas have moved up a full zone. You might search for it, HMF doesn’t allow links here.

According to the new map, Brewster is in Zone 7b when searching with the postal code. On the map itself, coastal zones are 7b, inside of the peninsula is 7a.

First year plant had nice spring flush but no repeat which I found that unusual for a floribunda type. Lost the potted plant over winter. Loved the Eden like flowers so much I bought two more plants and placed directly in ground. Again no repeat and now in August of third year! Not a single bud and I’ve never seen the usual flush of new growth after the first blooms fade either. Plants just sit doing nothing. Shame, the flowers are so pretty and long lasting. Some fail to open during rainy humid weather. My plants are somewhat squat, splayed and thorny. They stay healthy enough with infrequent systemic spraying. This year is however is quite wet and I sprayed only once so blackspot struck. Can’t explain the lack of repeat and will re-evaluate their occupying centre stage if I see no change.

It looks like it can have some green on the outer petals. Is that right? Is is susceptible to botrytis? Looks spotty in some pics. I think I saw a plant of this at a local grocery store being sold as a mini.
