Fiamma were collar tabs in Italian uniforms. Black collar tabs (Fiamma nera) were worn on the uniforms of the Arditi, a troop of irregulars led by Gabriele d'Annunzio, during his occupation of Fiume (Rijeka) in 1919-20. Their uniform of black shirts and black fez were taken on by Mussolini's paramilitary forces. A song of this name was published in 1921.
