Kashmir Rose (Easy Elegance@)-is an easy to grow, hardy shrub that features dark-red buds. The soft petals mature into a rich hybrid tea bloom. With touches of velvet red new growth, the disease free foliage is a perfect accent for Kashmir’s red wine colored flowers. It is grown on its own root instead of being grafted onto a hardy root stock, has a superior shape , and offers ever-blooming blossoms all season. Kashmir likes lots of sun and a good watering, or about 1 inch of rainfall once a week. It is very vigorous. I have grown this rose only 1 year and it's about 3-1/2 ft high. This rose blooms a little later in the season, but it withstands hot weather best of all the Easy Elegance@ roses I have. It holds it’s smooth leaves in heat and dry weather. It's individual blooms last only a few days, but it is so vigorous that they are soon replaced.-- 7B zone of NC (climate: humid, mostly mild winters, some drought, some wet summers.)
