Vintage lists this rose for sale spring 2013; if you translate the Italian comment, it says it is a pale yellow rose, so that comment must be one of the yellow versions.

Unfortunament, all Le Roses are to me misteriose and I am in a fogliame or mazzi as to what’s what. However, my profumo thanks. When I can spiccano or read Italian I will be muchly illuminato.

Patricia, you are funny, I'll have to plug your comments into the Bing Translator installed on my computer, it's not as good as Google's, but it's quicker. Ca Berta's photo does show a yellow base on the petals. Here is a copy paste of it:

"Lovely yellow Primrose flowers rose shade. Full, well made, opening gracefully to emanate a sweet scent. Very free flowering and give plant in repeating the entire season a profusion of flowers framed by an abundant and healthy foliage."

Yes. It does look as though it may be 'Yellow Pinocchio Cl.', but I will leave this reference for others to move.

to add to the info on this:

I've got a couple of these, my oldest one is about 12' tall and 7' wide. It gave a large early spring flush (mid March, v. photos), when still less than 6' tall, and then grew to it's current size and is reblooming. This bloom look to be even better than the first. The 4' to 5' blooms do smell great, but the fragrance is fleeting in our low humidity.

To my nose the smell is not of wild roses, but I'm really only familiar with those of California and rest of the US & Canadian Pacific coast.
