Origin:
Discovered by Unknown (Southern Europe) (France, before 1600).
Class:
Group 3, Late, Small-flowered, Species.  
Bloom:
White.  Strong fragrance.  4 petals.  Average diameter 1.25".  Single, clusters, star-shaped bloom form.  Late summer to midautumn.  
Habit:

Height: 10' to 14½' (305 to 440cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 8a and warmer.  Best in a sunny location.  For best scent plant in a sunny position.  This plant blooms on the current season's growth.  In early spring, cut back to just above the lowest set of healthy buds.
