Class:
Floribunda, Florists Rose.
Bloom:
Mauve or purple blend. Mild fragrance. 40 petals. Average diameter 2.75". Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
Notes:
Back in 1997, Dennis Brancato found this rose at Ontario Orchards in Oswego, New York. He reports this is a very full rose that starts off as a rich purple color with a yellow center and turns to a "chocolate-brown" as the rose nears its end.
